DEBDEN HOUSE - CAMPSITE, CONFERENCE & EVENTS CENTRE

Debden House Centre, owned by the London Borough of Newham, is located in the heart of Epping Forest. The property was formerly a farm but today provides high quality educational and leisure activities within the house and grounds.

Debden House Conference Centre provides premium facilities for meetings, conferences, exhibitions and education.

Debden House Campsite is over 50 acres and has attracted thousands of visitors since its opening in 1947. The campsite has 235 camping and 42 day visitor pitches available for hire including 35 with electric hook-up.

With Debden House being located on the edge of Epping Forest it’s the perfect place to get close to nature and explore the forest and surrounding areas. Use the direct access from Debden House to Epping Forest to visit the deer sanctuary or stay closer to home and see the host of beautiful wildlife that surround Debden House.


THE HISTORY

Located between the town of Loughton, the village of Theydon Bois and Epping Forest, Debden has been chronicled since Saxon times. The name Debden was derived from the Saxon word meaning ‘Deep Valley’.
